Enter your Davidson account credentials as usual. Then, you will see the Duo portal, asking you to“Protect Your Davidson College Account.”
Select an authentication device (Mobile phone or Tablet).
If you are using a
mobile device: enter your phone number and the type of phone you’re adding
tablet: choose the type of tablet you’re adding
Install Duo Mobile on your device.
Scan the given QR code by selecting the+ button in the top right of your app. You should now have an account in Duo Mobile calledDavidson College.
In the future, you will have two authentication options:
If you choose this option, you will receive a push notification on your mobile device. You must chooseAccept in your Duo Mobile app to approve authentication.
If you don’t have access to service or internet connection, this is the option you should use. Click the key icon next to your Davidson College account in the Duo Mobile app to generate a one-time code.
Add a backup authentication device, if possible. If you have another device you can use as a backup authentication device, we suggest that you add it to your account in case you lose access to your primary authentication device. For instructions on how to do that, see this article: Add a New Device.
Note: This becomes extremely useful if you are using a mobile device and have to buy a new phone. That way, you can restore your account using your backup authentication device instead of calling the T&I Support Center.
